My students need Chromebooks so they can access intervention programs that they may not be able to due to budget constraints in our city. Most of my students are several years behind grade level in both reading and Math and so have a need for individualized online intervention programs, as well as computers to use for required state and district testing. These students have emotional disabilities due to past trauma and so need incentives to encourage them to put forth their best effort at school. Part of our incentive program includes an earned "Fun Friday", during which time students are able to choose a snack and drink. The snack packs, fun size candy, and juice boxes would help us to continue to encourage students to be their best. Granola bars and other healthier snacks are to use when our students arrive late to school and miss breakfast (most of our students come from low income households where they may not receive breakfast otherwise). Our students' families also struggle to provide needed school supplies so we provide all of their supplies for them, often at my own expense. Lastly, I requested file organizers so students can neatly and easily store the assignments they are working on in individualized folders.
