Using the novel, "Little Spy of Vincennes" will give my students the opportunity to take a glimpse at what it was like in Indiana during the American Revolution. This book is a great insight as to what it was like for a child in Indiana who was in the middle of a war. I want my students to be able to get lost in this book and deepen their learning by getting involved in the novel. By doing this, they often don't realize that they are learning about character development, plot, theme and other "curriculum" that is taught. They are also learning about a pivotal event in Indiana history. This set of books will be shared with all 4 classes of 4th grade students so over 100 students will be able to use this valuable resource.
