I teach about half of the students (60) at our rural High school campus. I am the only teacher in the Spanish department and students are required to have 2 years to graduate. I teach levels 1-4, so I have 4 classes to prep for and a few of the courses are combined during the same class period. The majority take me their freshman and sophomore years and there are some who continue into the upper levels. My goal is to teach and build confidence especially maintaining a CAN DO attititude towards learning Spanish. I love to teach about different cultures and encourage my students to broaden their vision of the world and its possibilities. Learning a new language is a vehicle for that! I like to challenge students to put their knowledge to use! I love introducing new cultural lessons and use lots of hands on activites. Singing and jumping in there is a must for a good participation grade in my class.
