The majority of my TK and Kinder students have difficulty sitting very long. My special needs students struggle with sitting in chairs and on the rug as well. The ability to offer sensory cushions and wobble stools will increase their stamina while in class.
I chose the water/sand sensory table because I fully believe in hands on learning. Many students are tactile learners. The ability to have a sensory table can encourage learning in a classroom setting. Special needs students who have difficulty learning in an auditory sense, can make great gains with a sensory table. The flexible seating materials will also enhance the learning environment of special needs students.
