Many of my students are English Learners, students with Special Needs, and academically deficient Freshmen. These supplies are often ones that are not provided to students by their families and that I have bought for many years.
We need toner, batteries, post-it notes, notebooks, pencils, tissues, wipes and paper that will help them complete tasks in the classroom such as Cornell notes, Philosophical Chairs debates, and group projects. They will help ease the burden of me purchasing them on my limited budget and help aid the learning for these hard working individuals.
This will not only benefit students for rigorous learning in the classroom but can help them learn the skills necessary for success beyond high school.
