Audio is key here, because humans connect emotionally to messages through sound, particularly voices. Think about your reaction when you hear a baby cry or a child giggle. Editing quality audio is hard work, and trying to listen carefully in a noisy classroom is futile! Headphones make all the difference, allowing students to hear wind noise, over modulation, and many other "sound sins". My beginners are learning how to use sound equipment, and my advanced students are moving closer and closer to professional standards. Your gift will help me build future sound engineers, video editors, and more of the skilled workers America needs. Thank you!
