The games I have chosen will peak my student's interest! They will be excited to play them, probably not even realizing they are learning the whole time! Once they play the games and learn the skills, they will be able to apply them in areas of their education!
When looking at test scores most children are lacking in Language and vocabulary development, essential skills to reach educational success. I have chosen language and vocabulary development games to reach the students who are lacking in those areas. I have also chosen games geared toward reaching success in other skill areas, such as non-fiction text reading and reading comprehension. I feel as though, if children enjoy what they are doing they are more likely to feel success and want to keep trying, even when it becomes tough for them.
