My students will benefit from reading these leveled books for several reasons. First of all, these books will provide the opportunity for independent reading. The students will be able to find something they want to read because it will give them the opportunity to choose from a well-organized collection of books (thematic). Also, they will read books that are fit for them because these are books that students can read at their instructional level. These readers contain known words (high-frequency words), consonant vowel consonant words, and pattern sentences. The more they read these books the more proficient readers they will become. In conclusion, they will feel good about themselves as they learn to become independent readers.
