If you help me fund my Donor's Choose project, the students in my class will get to create art using real canvas and acrylic paints. The science unit of study for our last semester of school is Alaskan Animals. I would love for the 1st grade students in my classroom to be able to create art projects based on this unit of study. I am asking for five canvas packs, four sets of brushes, a set of acrylic paints, and a class pack of markers. I plan to have each student pick one Alaskan animal to research, then for a culminating project, they will get to paint their own favorite Alaskan animal on the canvas.
This project is meant to be engaging, cross-curricular and an ending to our long look into Alaskan Animals. Why not let our students create a unique work of art that they will forever get to keep as a reminder of their great year in First grade?
