As of right now my students do not have an math manipulatives. With these students can get hands on and really understand concrete concepts. It’s hard to teach a concept when the students do not have anything to physically move. I know fractions, multiplication, division and area could be understood so much easier if the students could literally do it themselves, instead of just seeing it. We also need books for our classroom library. We have a small library of mostly donated books. However, many are outdated and don’t interest the students. I would love to add to our class library and help my students better understand the world they live in.
