These materials will have a profound impact on students' learning because they can learn to fidget in the appropriate way. Humans are not meant to sit still for eight hours a day. Flexible seating helps our kids be comfortable and lets their brains move as well as their bodies! Students need an appropriate way to move while working and flexible seating will give them that. When students have choices about seating, they can focus on work more than moving. Students will be introduced to this seating slowly and will eventually get to choose their preferred seating arrangement. As a teacher, I will also be yard sale shopping in order to provide large, comfortable chairs and a high top cafe table.
