These Wingspan Optics/Binoculars will enhance my classroom lessons by giving students the opportunity to make learning personal. They will be able to identify multiple bird species by flight, coloration and size that is impossible to do without good optics.
Every student should have a pair of field binoculars on every outing. We will be working with a local wildlife preserve to document all the bird species throughout a calendar year. The goal is to collect data (sightings) to create a population baseline. This data can be used in the future to model populations and predict migration patterns. Environmental Science at its finest!
