I have chosen regular white tiles and a double-sided table drying rack for this project. My kids are always so excited when we do art. It is an area where everybody can let their creativity shine. Whenever my kids do art, they are able to express themselves as artists. They are all able to express themselves as unique individuals—creating artwork that may invoke different messages and emotions from viewers.
The tiles will be used specifically for an art project for Mother's Day. The students will learn that tiles have several purposes—not only are they used for decorating homes, but they can also serve a more practical purpose like tiling the floor. Students will create their tile artwork and put their painting skills to use as well as apply their design skills. As for the drying rack, it has always been my wish to have my students' finished paintings dry with ease. In the past, their paintings have either been left in their cubbies and/or desks to dry and have been either crumpled, torn, or even blown away. Having this drying rack will end our woes with drying my students' paintings.
