I have business students that are taking Dual Enrollment college classes. They are getting a high school credit and a college credit for one class. Their college textbooks are online, so we need Chromebooks for them to be able to access their textbooks.
Our school district is in a very rural, poor county. Many students don't have internet access and even more don't have computer access at home. For these students to be able to get college credits while in high school is an enormous accomplishment and it encourages them to go on to college after graduation. Most of these students are the first ones in their family to receive any post-secondary education. We are changing lives!
