Elevated planter beds will help us get a school garden project off the ground. With a number of crops to plant and grow, students are excited to get their hands dirty and experience growing their own fresh fruits and vegetables.
The end in mind is for students to manage and harvest the garden with a harvest celebration with parents and the community. We want to give our students the opportunity to learn about health and nutrition while putting their hands and minds to work rather than just by reading about these topics. What better way to learn than by doing?
