I teach in a K-8 elementary school located in a rural central California town. My fourth grade classroom has 30 students who come from low to mid socio-economic backgrounds. Our school is a high performing school, with an API of over 800. The transient rate at our school is very low. Many of our students are together from Kindergarten all the way through 8th grade. The school is the center of the community.
