I work with multiple grade levels as well as with students with various disabilities. My students will be given the opportunity to receive instruction in small groups. These small groups will give them the opportunity to reinforce their individual grade level curriculum on a daily basis. We need an iPad Pro with a protective case and an Apple Pencil. Students will be able to utilize the iPad Pro to create graphic organizers, sort and list facts and apply concepts and skills visually. Each student will have the ability to address their individual learning style. Special needs students from grade levels 9 through 12 will be given the benefit of opportunities to use technology in class.
These small groups will create fewer distractions for my special needs students who have focusing issues. This will ease the anxiety of those students who struggle in larger groups and need the ability to dissect the skills being taught. This will provide a different level of comfort but still give the opportunity for them to work continuously with their grade level peers.
