The Chromebooks and Apple iPads are going to be used in the Media Center during Makerstations. We are incorporating Makerstations as a different avenue with helping children expanding their learning skills. These items will also incorporate theme of STEAM into the Media Center.
The Chromebooks and the iPads will allow the students to work through an avenue that works best for them. The Apple Ipad will be used with different robots so that the students can give directions to the robot. Two of the Chromebooks will be used as a motivation to complete their own self-checkout. The remaining Chromebooks will be used in the Makerstations that involved green screens, making music and drawing pictures.
For examples, the Chromebooks will be attached to sponges with metal hooks. The students will login into an app where they will be able to make music through the sponges and see it arranged on the Chromebook. The iPads will be used with the Dash Robot. The students will be able to move the robots in different directions, make it dance, sing, or move fast or slow.
