I teach Reading/ ELA to fifth graders in a title I school located in the Houston area. We are a very diverse classroom. 95% of my students are second language learners who come from different backgrounds and countries. Some of them are refugees or new comers.
One of my goals is to help my students learn the language and develop their reading skills by providing them with fun and interesting books that spark their curiosity and love for reading so that they become life-long learners.
