These materials will allow my students access to timeless, classic literature they would not either have the opportunity or resources to explore on their own. Having the literature available in class provides students with the ability to read and analyze the material as either small groups or as a whole class. These reading experiences will give them the ability to examine and explore many different themes such as courage, choice, justice, and change. They will have the opportunity to challenge their way of thinking by examining the ideas presented through Utopian/Dystopian novels and well as through autobiographies. These reading experiences provide for great writing and research opportunities as well as other creative expression. I am requesting a wide range of literature titles for our small group or class novel studies.
