These materials will make it easier for students to transition from high school to college. I am giving away all the supplies--sheets, blankets, laundry baskets, tooth brushes, etc.--in college survival kits. I can't give a kit to every student, but I plan to raffle off twelve of these kits at our Decision Day assembly, which is where we announce which seniors are going to college where. Whether transitioning to a dorm at a university, or transitioning to an apartment and going to community college or trade school, our students will greatly benefit from these supplies. Going to college can be stressful, especially for our low-income student population, and I want to help alleviate that burden with these basic living supplies. With these gifts, our Bullock Creek HS students will be able to focus on college, as opposed to finding basic living supplies.
