Having a kidney table will help so much in the ESL classroom! All my classes are small group so having the kidney table will help with better interaction, discussion, and monitoring. With teaching ESL, I do a lot of interactive activities so that they can better understand the material especially when there is a language barrier. Discussions also are apart of ESL, since practicing speaking is so important. I also like to be able to closely monitor my students so that they do not fall behind, which can happen quickly with a language barrier. The table overall is a more inviting environment encouraging interaction in activities and discussion.
