Make a donation Mrs. Allred can use on her next classroom project.
Our hope is that through these donations we can provide books and materials for our less fortunate students to read and expand their knowledge of the world, grow in empathy, and become better participants of society.
My colleagues and I have chosen eight high-interest and relevant novels to encourage our students' love for reading by offering a choice reading. Through choice reading, our students are able to identify with specific characters whose backgrounds are similar to their own. Each of the eight novels have been carefully chosen to capture the interest of our student population. These novels incorporate diverse cultures and authors, unique writing styles, and struggles that young people face while attending high school.
