These materials will be utilized daily in the classroom! The materials will be readily available and accessible during center time for the students to explore more hands-on, in depth concepts. Most of these materials will help our Science, Math and Block areas come back to life as they will help the children create, investigate and explore through direct hands-on, mind-on activities. 'Scientists discover the world that exists, Engineers create the world that never was' Theodore Von Karmen. The materials provided in this project will do just that: they will help the children explore the world more through direct, hands-on observation, but the materials will also allow the children to create, build and imagine. Children are the building blocks of our future - future creators, future builders, future Engineers, Scientists and more! Many of the materials, such as the Science Viewers, Table Magnifying Station, Kids Sized Flashlights, Magnet Cars, Crazy Shape Magnetic Set, Lakeshore Creature Builders, See It, Grow It and Don’t Let the Bugs Fall will all be added to our Science area where the children will be encouraged to play alongside their peers and engage in conversation about their discoveries and observations. The children will also have opportunities to explore, examine and discover with our light table where they will get to use the Magnetic Pattern Blocks, Light and Sound Touch Circuit, Light-Up Building Blocks and the Translucent Imagination Builders.
