All students will have the opportunity to apply their coding skills in a real life situation by learning to code these Sphero robots. Right now, we have none of these in our school. Our district has some for student use, but they are often checked out and not available.
With our own Spheros, we will be able to use them at any time. Students will code these robots to do a number of different things, including navigating through a maze and building a chariot to hook up to it to carry certain weights. The students learn much better when they are able to see how the skills they have learned transfer into real life skills they can use in their future jobs. It's exciting to see the students learning and having fun at the same time when using technology.
