This project will give equal access to my special needs students in fourth and fifth grade when we learn to play the recorder! I struggle with being able to give help to those students because of the size of the class they come to music with. I would love to have these adaptive recorders to give my ESE students during class so they can be as successful on the instruments as the other students. They try so hard but don't always have an easy time with the recorders. This instrument eliminates the need to cover the open holes to make the correct sound. It has buttons instead and lets them focus on the air flow they are putting into the instrument. I look forward to seeing their successes with this adaptive recorder!
