Students in my classroom struggle with learning and have difficulty with attention to the task. Stability balls and active learning chairs will give the students freedom to move and listen at the same time without disturbing others in the class. This type of movement has been shown to increase learning and concentration in students with learning difficulties. Stackable stools will provide seating at small group tables so that students will not have to drag chairs across the room, potentially distracting other learners.
Allowing flexible seating options will help these students focus on reading and math to make the progress they need to catch up with their 3rd grade peers.
