Though they may spend their free time on TikTok, there is nothing my sixth graders love more than diving into a good book! Help us gain access to high quality literature with a class set of the classic novel (and poignant tearjerker!) "Where the Red Fern Grows." With their own copy of the book, students will be able to practice the reading and annotation strategies we learn in class.
Falling in love with a book is one of life's greatest pleasures, and Covid restrictions have prohibited us from sharing novels in class.
Much of our work is done online, but even the tech-savvy Gen Z student still prefers doing his or her independent reading with an actual book! Access to individual copies of "Where the Red Fern Grows" would help students explore their love of reading in a safe and enjoyable way.
