Every classroom should have effective furniture and materials that engage students' learning and imagination through daily activities and routines. Our classroom carpet is at the heart of our kindergarten room. This rug would give students their own space during lessons and support them during our classroom transitions. Morning meetings, daily learning activities, read-alouds, and creative STEM projects all take place on our classroom rug throughout the day, making it a critical component to our classroom community and students' learning. Similarly, our classroom easel provides a variety of opportunities to engage students' learning and thinking using new tools and modalities. Not only will it be used to display our morning message each day, but it's size and storage space allow students to access it easily each day during whole-class and small-group activities. Furthermore, the soft seats offer many opportunities to enrich students' learning by offering flexible seating options for students to take advantage of during the school day.
By donating to our project, you will be making sure our students have access to integral classroom materials that will be used each day in our kindergarten classroom. With these developmentally appropriate materials, our students will be able to engage in enriching learning activities both independently and as a member of our classroom community.
