I can lecture and model till I'm blue in the face, but we all know that students learn best when they are hands-on and elbow deep in the content. Third grade is a crucial year, my students are learning a plethora of new skills in reading and math, all while preparing for the Standards of Learning exam. My students need the hands-on experience and manipulatives from Osmo numbers, letters, and pizza company to help foster their ever-growing minds. My classroom will benefit from adding an iPad and Osmo kit to our workshop time. We will utilize our time learning more about multiplying, dividing and exploring fractions while manipulating pizzas! Students will also investigate spelling patterns and word knowledge with the Osmo letter kit. All while having FUN! The learning will not stop there! The iPad alone will provide my students with educational apps, camera and video skills, movie making, coding, and cooperative learning skills. You see, by donating to my project, you are helping to prepare my students for undeniable success!
