Learning carpets are an essential component to a Kindergarten classroom! Not only does this carpet provide a welcoming environment, but it provides a space for students to engage in learning throughout the day. The current carpet we have in our classroom is rather small, and not all of my students can sit comfortably during our morning meeting, whole group lessons, read alouds, and other instructional periods throughout our school day. A Place for Everyone carpet from Lakeshore will allow all of my students to fit onto the carpet and sit comfortably while learning throughout the school day. This carpet will help me define the space for carpet time and will be a welcoming area in our room for the students to gather for morning meeting, Letterland, whole group lessons, number talks, and other learning activities. With 23 students, this large carpet will finally provide enough space for all of my students to have their own area on the carpet to listen to lessons, share their ideas, problem solve, and discover new things.
