These books will be used to allow my students to take part in a novels in verse book club unit. During this unit, students will choose a novel in verse to read and discuss with classmates. These books will assist my students in learning about themselves and others; as well as allow them to study poetic devices and learn how a form of writing that is sometimes considered "boring" can be used to tell a captivating story. Using novels in verse will allow all my students to have access to texts that will invite critical thinking, collaboration and deep discussion.

About my class
