Our public school was closed on March 13th due to COVID-19 and we moved into a distance learning model. To meet the new demands of a Zoom classroom and other technology, our district upgraded our computers. Even with the upgrade, I had a hard time seeing a clear image of my students during class and they of me. I experienced a great deal of frustration as I tried to deliver quality instruction until a friend loaned me an Apple MacBook Pro for the remainder of the year. It changed everything! The ease, the quality, everything! Online instruction will continue in the fall but I will no longer have access to the computer that supported me and my students. I will be covering the cost of the internet in order to continue teaching, however, I am not in a position to purchase a new computer. My 50 third graders need me to deliver clear and rich math and writing curriculum online this fall in a quality classroom with a Macbook Pro.
