The use of headphones in English class allows students to take responsibility of their learning through online self-paced guided lessons. With the use of headphones students can listen to audio versions of books, student guided review of lesson materials, and have the ability to pause, rewind, and play back materials or information not mastered on previous attempts.
Students are provided with the opportunity to listen and practice lesson materials, which has proven to guarantee retention of information heard with added hands on practice.
Students are eager to proceed through self-guided lessons but they are only beneficial when all students have the headphone resources to hear what is being taught online.
