Our classroom uses reader's workshop to structure our reading block. Our students spend part of each day independently reading in a spot that is their own. In order to create a comfortable environment that makes learning to read engaging, students need a modern learning space.
For this project, I chose two couches to add to our classroom and create a new reading area for student use. These will be used on a daily basis, multiple times per day, by different students in our classroom. They will be utilized not only for reading, but during math, writing, and collaborative group activities.
