Coding is the new language of the future and one of the most engaging and exciting ways to teach students coding is through the use of robots. My current classroom uses the Dash and Dot Robots for grades 2 and up, but my younger students are not quiet able to use them and they are itching to get their little hands on robots. When they see the older kids code and make Dash and Dots move and go through challenges, they get so intrigued and excited but at the same time disappointed that they don't have something at their grade level or developmental level to experience.
Bee-Bot is an exciting robot designed specifically for use by younger children so I will finally be able to offer my kindergarten and 1st graders the opportunity to actively learn coding. Bee-Bots are the perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, and problem-solving because they are colorful, easy-to-operate, and use a friendly interface.
