My students are currently working on learning the beginning, ending, and rhyming sounds. They learn best when they are able to physically manipulate objects.
This project will allow my students to learn about the beginning, ending, and rhyming sounds through picking out objects and sounding it out.
My students will be able to learn about these phonemic awareness concepts independently. They will be able to pick a box that includes color-coded mats to help aid in their organization. They will then pick a mat and some objects out of the box. They will have to sound out the object until they find three matching sounds, like a cat, rat, and bat to the picture of a hat.
