Using calculators in the math classroom is an effective way to engage and support learners of all levels and styles. As dedicated mathematicians, my students can benefit from being able to have access to their own calculator when in class. As an Advanced Algebra class, it is crucial for my students to have calculators when studying topics such as exponential functions, logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, and alike. My classroom currently only has 5 functioning calculators that students need to share so I hope to have a full class set of calculators so that each student can practice and individually master mathematical concepts on their own.
