We are a Title 1 school and 100% of our students receive free lunch and free breakfast. But that isn’t what makes our school special. What makes us special is our incredible diversity! We are the most diverse elementary school in the entire district with more than 30 different languages spoken. In fact, we are the 18th most diverse school in all of Oregon. We have students from Somalia, Nepal, Cuba, Thailand, China, Ukraine, Romania, and many more. More than 60% of our students are English Language Learners. This means teachers like me must constantly differentiate their instruction to meet student’s needs. One way teachers are learning to meet student’s needs is through the use of technology.
