These leveled books will make a difference in my students’ lives because they are eager readers and want to learn more about the world through reading; however, because of low incomes, they are unable to fulfill their love of reading. Currently, our classroom library is filled with on-grade-level novels, which is unfortunately much higher than most of my 5th grade students’ reading levels. Consequently, I am looking to purchase more books on a second or third grade level, such as picture books, Magic School Bus serious, and Magic Tree House. These books have many different themes and lessons at a lower reading levels, that will help my students learn and enjoy reading. My students desire to read more about the world and cultures around them and this project is geared towards purchasing more on-level books about the world, environments, other people, and mindfulness. We appreciate anything and everything you can donate to help us learn!
