Third grade is a pivotal year in elementary education. Reading at grade level and developing a love for reading can happen in third grade. It's important to me, that my students have access new, interesting and age appropriate books, no matter their reading level.
Every third grader deserves an opportunity to flourish has a reader and to find joy in reading-a skill to last them a lifetime.
A diverse classroom library helps my students find that special book that captures their attention and engages them in reading, while developing their skills. Students have the freedom to select their own book in our classroom library. These books are high-interest and can be enjoyed in my classroom for years to come.
