Social emotional learning blocks have done wonders this year. It's a fun way to start our daily meetings. It is a great way to expose students to diversity, empathy and inclusion. We also include book chats and students answer open ended questions. I strongly feel that students in my classroom are able to identify themselves with these books and learn to accept others at an early age.
