Science is boring when its just experienced from a textbook. It gets a little more exciting once a video is played from YouTube showing those exact concepts or experiments from the textbook. I often hear students ask after a video is played, "Is that real?" or state "That's not real, it must be magic." I am ordering the Iodine Clock Reaction Lab to show students the power of science and how magical it can be. Science is real, but its very hard to believe when just as easy as a video of an experiment can be played, so can a video of a pig flying. I don't blame them for their apprehensions, but I know that they wont be able to deny what they see directly in front of them.
