Students will develop increased empathy, compassion, and pro-social behavior by reading and discussing books from the Kindness Campaign reading list. Titles from our reading list include; "What Does It Mean to Be Kind," "How Full is Your Bucket?," and "You, Me, and Empathy." In addition to developing character, students will expand their ability to concentrate, while acquiring new reading skills, such as, vocabulary/language acquisition, increased fluency and strengthening their comprehension. Furthermore, the students will be engaged in an exciting school wide campaign in promoting Kindness/Empathy by sharing their library with the school. Each classroom in the school will absolutely benefit from the books in this grant!
