I have realized that even 10 and 11 year olds need to have some wiggle room in the classroom! This year I have played around with the idea of flexible seating in my classroom by adding some additional furniture into my classroom. It has been a great success and am looking to add more choices for my students to use. They definitely love options that just the traditional desk and chair.. standing, laying, bouncing, you name it, they'll do it while learning. Next year's class will be a larger group so finding more flexible seating options that don't take up much space yet allow students to move is what this project is all about!
