Coming from a small, low-income area, many of my students have never left the county. I am wanting to use these Chromebooks to further their knowledge of the world outside of our small town. There are so many things, even in Oklahoma, that my students have never heard of because they do not have internet access at home and our technology is limited in the classroom.
With these Chromebooks, my students would be engaged and provided a hands on experience in their learning about the world around them. There are many projects that I would love to assign, but I simply do not have access to the technology that would be needed. My students need these Chromebooks in order to conduct research on a variety of topics in an effort to broaden their horizons. We would also use them to play educational math and reading games and take Accelerated Reader tests over books that they have read. I believe these Chromebooks would make a huge difference in my students' lives.
