My students attend a Texas elementary school where approximately 95% of the population is considered economically disadvantaged. They are like all children - bright, curious, energetic. Some live in a nearby trailer park or apartment complex, others in single family houses. The school is only 3 years old and provides installed technology systems that allow students to access Internet resources. The technology needed to contribute their own images, thoughts, and ideas, however, is limited, since multiple classrooms must share a small number of digital cameras and even smaller number of color printers.
