Here at Sutton Elementary School, we take special education seriously. We currently have the only severe and profound classroom in the county, and as such, we are overflowing with needs for both behavioral and academic intervention. Our classroom - which services both general education and special education students - was bare at the beginning of the year. We've worked hard to salvage materials, manipulatives, and meaningful intervention resources. Given a budget of $200 PER YEAR means we can't afford the things we need to make sure our students succeed.
The majority of our students come from a low socio-economic status; every student in our school receives free lunch. It is imperative that we work hard to build this classroom from the ground up, but before we can GO up, we need that good ground.
Our classroom's goal on Donors Choose is to help populate our classroom with materials designed for all learners!
