In my school, I serve 250 students by teaching them the Spanish language and life skills. We are 85% free and reduced lunch (at or below the poverty level), and this brings a lot of diversity and individual needs to the classroom.
In Middle School, our kiddos are going through so many changes mentally, physically, and emotionally, that some just don’t know how to project all of this energy and emotion! Studies have shown the effectiveness of fidgeting or the provision of alternative kinetic seating, as a successful way to keep students engaged and focused for long periods of time, which be exceptionally challenging for students with ADHD and Anxiety.
These wobble chairs would provide an outlet for students in need, allowing them to be more successful in my class, and also allowing me to give better instruction to my ten large classes as these kiddos in need stay focused for longer periods of time.
¡Mil gracias! :)
