Our students come to school with only basic necessities to get through the day. Outdoor items - like rain boots - are rarely accounted for and certainly not taken for granted. Thankfully, our classroom provides Oakiwear suits that were provided through a local grant so we are able to go outside when it's wet.
However, many children do not have proper outdoor shoes.
These rain boots will allow us to go outside and explore nature even when it is raining or wet. We will be able to explore the differences between sunny and rainy, see different bugs and insects, experience different seasons, explore nature, and make lasting memories. This will also allow us to keep our students completely dry, comfortable, and healthy while learning.
